Fully accredited online degree programs in business administration and general education are offered at Atlanta Metropolitan State College, in addition to individual online and hybrid courses.
ONLINE LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES
Virtual classes are taught by the same instructors who teach traditional on-campus courses, and students enrolled in distance education courses will communicate with teachers via email, live chat rooms, and discussion forums within the Desire2Learn (D2L) course management system. Typical virtual classroom environments include a course syllabus, multi-media, assignments, quizzes and exams, just like that of on-campus counterparts. All courses are delivered via D2L and a help center is available, along with campus technical support.
In addition to distance education opportunities on campus, Atlanta Metropolitan partners with the eMajor collaborative, of the University System of Georgia, to provide a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership, with added administrative concentrations. eMajor awards eligible prior credits, and recognizes CLEP and the Prior Learning Assessment. eCore, also affiliated with the University System of Georgia, allows adult students the chance to complete a majority of virtual core curriculum studies in preparation for the completion of a bachelor’s degree.
