Students pursuing degrees in Education can specialize in several concentrations within the area of study. Special needs teachers provide more than just an altered academic program, they also provide challenged students the many other attributes associated with the proper facilitation of an education. Many students may need non-academic resources to further learning abilities. Graduates of a special education degree program will complete a minimum of a Bachelors level of education, in addition to supplementing teaching practicums with specific needs, counseling and academic preparation courses designed for individual disabilities. The student teacher will be able to pursue entry-level positions at many learning institutions, both public and private, as well as higher learning levels.
