Program Details

The online MS in Criminal Justice / Criminal Justice Management & Program Planning degree program focuses on developing the fundamental critical thinking skills used for leadership, organizational evaluation, and academic research. Individuals seeking an evidence-based approach to criminal justice management or preparing for graduate study at the doctoral level benefit from this program.


This degree program requires a total of 30 credit hours for completion. 

  • Regular Admission: To obtain regular admission, students must have an unrecalculated grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale or a satisfactory standardized test score (30th percentile or higher). If a student meets these criteria, but has undergraduate coursework deficiencies, they will be granted provisional admission.
  • Provisional Admission: To obtain provisional admission, students must meet two of the three following criteria: an overall GPA of 2.75 or higher, a GPA of 3.0 or higher in the last 40 hours of course work, and a satisfactory (30th percentile or higher) standardized test score.
