Program Details
The online Graduate Certificate in Systems Thinking program is designed for both engineers and non-engineers who work on creating, monitoring, and deploying innovative products and services and want to learn more about the systems engineering field. The curriculum provides the skills and tools students need to develop a deep understanding of underlying structures of dynamic systems and analyze and apply cyclical patterns to solve complex challenges. Graduates are able to develop robust solutions to complex problems through critical thinking and a holistic problem-solving approach and understand the fundamental dynamics that drive project performance, including the rework cycle and feedback effects, schedule pressure and staffing, and risk management. Students may choose to take courses that provide more in-depth knowledge in the fields of systems engineering or system dynamics, or they can choose electives that provide a broader focus.
