Newbigin Distance Learning Master of Divinity
Western Theological Seminary offers a Newbigin Distance Learning Master of Divinity for students who would like to study more about ministry and church planting. Students will be taught knowledge of the New Testament, Greek language, preaching foundations, church history, church planting, and interpretation. Individuals will be able to utilize this specialized knowledge in areas of church planting, revitalization, and center city renewal ministry. Upon completion of this program, graduates may work in various positions related to ministry. Through this program, students will complete coursework, participate in a two-year embedded urban internship, and attend an intercultural immersion trip.
The Newbigin Distance Learning Master of Divinity Program consists 96 total credit hours that may be completed in as little as four years. Students will explore core course topics in areas which include: Practice of Discipleship, New Testament Interpretation, Old Testament Foundations, and Multi-Cultural Proficiency. The courses offered through this program are crafted to ensure that graduates will be prepared to work in churches and in other environments.
