Program Details

Western Seminary offers a MA in Biblical & Theological Studies for students who wish to enhance their knowledge on the Christian faith. Students are taught knowledge in theology, scriptures, ethics, church history, Greek, Hebrew, and more. Graduates who earn this degree have the potential to find rewarding employment in leadership positions within churches or religious establishments. Individuals typically work as ministry leaders, pastors, educators, or in other related areas. Upon completion of this program, students may also decide to further their education and pursue a doctoral program.

Requirements

Students must attend two on-campus sessions: one week of Threshold courses at the start of the program and a 2.5 day Capstone course at the end of the program. 

  • Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited undergraduate institution
  • Cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher
