Program Details

The online MA in Interpreting Studies degree program from Western Oregon University provides interpreters and interpreter educators who use English and another language, spoken or signed, advanced scholarship that focuses on theoretical, practical, and teaching applications. Graduates of the program are able to:

Requirements

  • Requires two-week, on-campus residency
  • Requires from 45-54 quarter credits for degree completion
  • Evidence of completion of a four-year baccalaureate degree (or international equivalent) from regionally accredited institution
  • Cumulative B average or higher on most recent baccalaureate degree or acceptable GRE score or completion of a master's degree
  • Transcript(s) from all previous college coursework
  • Evidence of interpreting certification and/or experience
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • Resume
  • Three recommendations
  • Pre-screening assessment
