Western Kentucky University offers a Master of Business Administration degree for students and professionals in businesses who are interested in developing advanced and specialized understanding of business management and business organizations in order to develop their abilities and career options as administrators and managers. The program intends to develop their capabilities and knowledge in the practical usage of communication, leadership, teamwork, and problem solving skills necessary for business and entrepreneurship and in developing career options in management and administration.
Students will take part in a curriculum where they will participate in classes that aim to develop their managerial and leadership capabilities in business, including classes such as problem solving, data modeling, and managerial decisions, managerial accounting concepts and applications, and strategic business concepts and applications.
Potential qualifications of graduates involve demonstration of the mastery of business concepts which encompass the body of the program, which include the ability to differentiate between local, national, and global business environments and how different business environments affect business management and business operations; demonstrating business judgments and sound business management methods, including critical and creative strategic thinking; demonstrating the ability to utilize and leverage teamwork, personnel, and human resources to develop a team environment to benefit business outcomes; to demonstrate analytical experience and functional understanding of a variety of management skills in business operations, including finance, accounting, ergonomics, marketing, management, and law; the ability to utilize quantitative and qualitative data into management decisions; and to demonstrate appropriate ethical and effective values in the management of a business or organization.

Applicants seeking admission must meet the following criteria: Minimum undergraduate overall GPA of 2.75 scale, a minimum overall GMAT score of 500, and a written GMAT score of 3.5. GAP Admissions Exception: Applicants not meeting above standards may be considered on a case-by-case basis if applicant has a GAP score of 1100 or more (GMAT total scaled score plus the overall UGPA multiplied by 200).
