The Graduate Certificate in Environmental Health and Safety takes a look at the hazards in natural and man-made environments and instructs students on ways to prevent or mitigate negative health outcomes. This program consists of five courses completed entirely online. The flexible online nature is ideal for working adults.

Core classes explore topics in environmental toxicology, environmental health, and solid and hazardous wastes. In addition, students can choose elective courses to best fit the certificate to their career interests and needs. Some of the choices available include watershed management, occupational safety, environmental management, air quality management, disaster management, and environmental epidemiology.
