This online special education degree is for practicing educators and professionals working with special education students who wish to move into studying and researching special education practices and services. With this emphasis, you will develop expertise in working with, advocating for, or instructing students with special learning needs. You will develop a specialized understanding of specific student populations and/or instructional approaches. The overall goal is to improve the quality of life of individuals with disabilities.  

This program does not lead to initial teacher certification in special education. It is completed using an asynchronous format so you can keep your current position while pursuing an advanced degree.
