Program Overview

The Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Intelligence Technologies program requires students to complete 128 total credit hours in order to earn the degree. These credit hours consist of general education coursework, business intelligence technologies core coursework, and elective coursework. Often, students who pursue this degree also pursue a minor or a certificate in Web Site Design or Web Site Development. Participants who have not pursued either of these options will be required to take two additional courses that are related to programming and web technology principles.

Students who wish to find employment in the field of business intelligence may be able to transform raw data gathered from a data warehouse into meaningful information by the use of database systems, data mining, and other methods. Enrolled students should gain a strong knowledge base of business mathematics, telecommunications, and various business technologies that are used in the field today. Through the use of business intelligence technologies, businesses and organizations are able to view their past, present, and future business operations. This information may be used to enhance business performance and the overall well being of the company. Business intelligence technologies are a core function for various types of businesses and require experts who can perform these tasks and functions.

All of the courses through this Bachelor of Arts program are available online for students who have busy and demanding schedules. This online format provides enrolled students with convenience and flexibility while earning their degree.
