The online Bachelor of Arts in Criminology program provides student with a multidisciplinary approach to crime and deviance, emphasizing critical thinking skills and familiarizing students with the dominant ways professionals use to explain, predict, and prevent crime and victimization. Students learn to identify the strengths and weaknesses of criminological theories, analyze the policy implications of those theories, and describe the elements and development of the criminal justice system and its role in maintaining social order. Graduates are able to predict and analyze crime patterns and work to reduce crime by applying principles of crime prevention and through crime analysis.
