Program Details

The online Associate of Science in Health Information Technology allows students to have meaningful careers in health care without working directly with patients.  The curriculum starts with a solid foundation in math and English and then adds expertise in medical coding, reimbursement, and the privacy and security of patient records.  Students also learn about electronic health records, project management, and how to use computer applications to assemble and analyze patient data to improve patient care or control costs.
