The online Associate of Science in Health Information Technology program teaches students how to provide reliable and valid health information. Coursework prepares students for careers in ambulatory health care facilities, industrial clinics, state and federal health agencies, skilled and intermediate care nursing facilities, the insurance industry, managed care organizations, and hospitals. Courses may include Health Care Statistics for HIT, Specialized Health Records and Registries for HIT, Human Disease, and Health Care Policy.
