The Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) online degree from Walden University offers a concentration in Public Health Nursing. This online public health degree focuses on improving health outcomes for entire communities with the help of public health nurse leadership. Public Health nurses try to improve access and care for people in their communities and beyond, helping with the disparities and inconsistencies found in the current healthcare system. Courses in this online public health program prepare students to assume leadership positions in assessing communities and populations; identifying high-risk groups; and developing culturally sensitive, acceptable, and realistic population-based nursing interventions.
Students have the opportunity to complete this program using the RN to MSN track. This online RN to MSN program is designed for registered nurses entering the program with a hospital diploma, associate degree in nursing, or a bachelor’s degree other than a BSN and allows RN’s to enhance their knowledge and skills. You will fulfill general education requirements and then begin foundation courses for the MSN.
- The RN-BSN-MSN track is for registered nurses who hold a hospital diploma, associate degree in nursing, or bachelor’s degree (other than a Bachelor of Science in Nursing [BSN])
