Program Details

Walden University offers a Master of Science in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Emergency Management.  This online criminal justice program helps students become emergency response professionals who are able to face the difficult issues in today’s world by making informed, intelligent choices under pressure.  The curriculum prepares you to build confident and capable teams and to guide others during crises.  Students also study the ethical situations they may encounter as emergency professionals.  

All of the Master of Science in Criminal Justice students also study the broader field of criminal justice.  You will study a blend of criminal behavior theory along with technology, homeland security, and management skills applicable to the challenges facing the law enforcement community.  Students evaluate the root causes of crime and their impact on criminal justice practices and procedures and analyze how law enforcement, courts, and corrections function and interact at the local, state, and federal levels.
