Program Details

Walden University’s Master of Science in Information Technology (IT), an online information technology degree program, provides students with an advanced understanding of computing concepts, theories, and practices.  You will develop essential programming, networking, and database management and development skills.  The curriculum also teaches you about the best software engineering principles and practices to develop and maintain stable, secure, scalable, and maintainable software.  Students learn to select technologies, policies, and procedures that assure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information and IT systems.  While developing the skills needed to drive critical change in an organization, you will also learn how to recommend appropriate information technology solutions based on the organization’s needs and an evaluation of alternatives.
