Walden University offers a Master of Science in Human Resource Management degree for students who are looking to gain the strategic, organizational, management, and analytical skills that today’s employers are seeking. With three optional specializations, students can deepen their knowledge in a specific area of human resources to achieve their individual career goals.
The General specialization allows you to gain the foundational human resource management and leadership skills you need to advance your career and help organizations manage their most valuable asset—their employees. With a focus on addressing an organization’s strategic business goals, you’ll learn to develop and manage performance systems; negotiate and resolve conflict; attract, develop, and retain talent; build trust; achieve credibility with the executive team as a strategic and valued partner; prioritize and manage budgets; and plan for future organizational needs.
When you complete your online Masters in Human Resource Management degree, you may be able to receive credit for four courses when enrolling in the Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) program and for two courses when enrolling in the PhD in Management program.
