Walden University offers the Master of Business Administration / Human Resource Management for students, managers, and human resources managers who wish to develop their knowledge of advanced principles and practices in human resource management. Through the specialization, students will develop their understanding of leadership issues as well as developing their own leadership styles and how they impact individuals and teams.
Students will study the skills needed to manage skilled and specialized teams and how to counsel senior management on key personnel issues, including employee selection, employee morale, negotiation and conflict resolution, and other issues.
The program consists of courses which emphasize real-world education through examination of cases and education which will be applicable on the job. Those classes include strategic human resources management, human resources management introduction, business strategy for competitive advantage, contemporary approaches to managing and leading, leading people, marketing, accounting for business management, and financial management.
