Wake Forest University was founded in 1834 outside the state capital of Raleigh, North Carolina. In 1941, the medical school moved to Winston-Salem, and the rest of the College followed in 1956. Wake Forest is a private, coeducational collegiate university with a liberal arts curriculum. For several years, Wake Forest has been among this nation’s leading research universities in international education.
