The world of business is constantly changing, and the Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration program at Virginia University of Lynchburg is designed to prepare students for successful work in this area. This program is delivered entirely online and offered through the VUL School of Business. The goal of this department and the university is to give students the tools with which to effectively work in business administration while taking with them a strong sense of spiritual interdependence.
The program includes a professional core intended to produce spiritually and educationally complete graduates. These individuals will gain a theoretically-based and entrepreneurial education that fosters lifelong learning and effective practice. Graduates may be able to compete in a highly competitive, technological, and global society.
It is the goal of the curriculum and department of this program to instill students with the skill necessary to engage in both traditional and self-employment. With the growing influence of technology, these candidates may be able to effectively fill technology-related positions in management information systems and other areas of business. Upon graduation, students may be able to pursue entry-level careers in economics, management, marketing, and accounting, as well as go on to education at the graduate level in a related topic.
To graduate with the BA in General Business Administration, those enrolled are required to complete at least 128 semester hours of credit, with a maximum of 132 hours. Courses vary from one to six credits in length and come from disciplines including education, accounting, English, and other social sciences in addition to topics in and related to the field of business. As this is a Bachelor of Arts curriculum, students must develop proficiency in one foreign language via six credits of coursework. Students can take on varying course loads, but each year of study generally includes 31 to 33 credits.

Virginia University of Lynchburg is a historically black, private university located on a suburban campus in Lynchburg, Virginia. In addition to VUL’s main campus in Lynchburg, teaching sites are located in Danville, Burgess, Petersburg and Suffolk, Virginia. VUL was founded in 1886, and is the oldest school of higher learning in Lynchburg. The school was incorporated as the Lynchburg Baptist Seminary in 1886 by the Virginia Baptist State Convention. Throughout its history, VUL has been known as the Virginia Seminary, Virginia Theological Seminary and College and Virginia Seminary and college, and received its current name in 1996. The mission of VUL is to recognize the potential in every person, and to maximize the gifts of the individual within a nurturing Christian environment, that provides students with opportunities to develop into scholars and leaders.
VUL offers on-campus and online programs and degrees which include certificate programs, and associate's, bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees. The programs are housed in the following schools:

VUL’s Distance Learning Program is an alternative for students that are unable to attend class on the main campus or at one of VUL’s teaching locations the chance to advance their education.
