Program Details

The Online Master of Science in Cybersecurity from Utica University teaches students to address ever-changing cyberattack and data infiltration techniques. Students gain advanced knowledge and hands-on experience in cyber intelligence, critical infrastructures, and investigative principles as they relate to cybercrime, including:

  • An understanding of the major concepts in cybersecurity
  • Training in critical thinking and decision-making skills as they relate to attacks on national critical infrastructures
  • The application of cyber technology to field operations
  • Practical knowledge of cybercrime investigations, including methods of maintaining the integrity of cyber evidence
  • Ethics as applied to cybersecurity operations and policy

The comprehensive curriculum offers specializations in Cybercrime and Fraud, Digital Forensics, and Cybersecurity Operations.

Utica University has been designated a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Education (CAE-CD) by the National Security Agency (NSA) and Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Both the Bachelor’s and Master’s in Cybersecurity programs have met the increased demands of this new designation category through academic year 2024. 

Utica has also earned designation as a National Center of Digital Forensics Academic Excellence (CDFAE) by the Defense Cyber Crime Center (DC3).
