The online Master of Science in Health Care Administration - Service Organization focuses on the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in a variety of health care leadership positions and offers areas of emphasis in acute care, service organizations, and nursing home administration. This 36-credit online master’s program prepares mid-level professionals for some of the most challenging new roles in today's rapidly changing managed care environment. The Service Organization specialization is ideal for anyone interested in improving patient care and health care delivery by managing organizational change within the administrative side of health care at government, corporate, insurance or research companies and agencies in the health care field.
Please note: In some states such as New York, the curriculum meets the course requirements for Nursing Home Administrator licensure. Potential applicants should check with their states' licensing agency or contact an Admissions Representative to verify the necessary coursework. Faculty advisers are available to work with students to offer guidance, and help students meet the academic requirements of this field.
The Health Care Administration Program requires online attendance in four Synchronous Residencies.
Must hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent
GPA of 3.0 or above (Applicants with below the 3.0 GPA may be admitted at the discretion of the department.)
