Program Details

The Online RN to BSN program prepares licensed registered nurses for an enhanced career in the increasingly complex health care environment. This CCNE accredited program teaches skills in critical thinking, quick decision making, thoughtful communication, and leadership to prepare students for in-demand roles. Our innovative program has no residency requirements, allowing you to study when and where works best for you! 

This program builds on Utica’s more than 25-year history of educating nurses. With small class sizes and highly qualified faculty, we’re confident you’ll be more than prepared to flourish in a career serving your community.  

As a completer program, students can transfer up to 90 credits and earn their degree in as few as 20 months. Candidates for the baccalaureate degree must satisfactorily complete a minimum of 30 credit hours of study at Utica University. Transfer students who matriculate with 60 or more credits need to declare a major upon entering Utica University. 

Coursework and Curriculum: 

Coursework covers subjects in community health, healthcare leadership and management, pharmacology, health policy and ethics. Students will have the opportunity to demonstrate mastery of concepts through relevant experiential learning and practice experiences that foster patient-centered care, evidence-based practice, informatics, clinical reasoning/critical thinking, cultural sensitivity, professionalism and practice across the life span.
