The curriculum is focused to prepare degree candidates for pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in a field related to business, marketing, or management.

A business degree is widely-applicable, and those that hold the degree may expect to find work in the private sector, for the government, and through entrepreneurship. Demand for these professionals is high and growing, especially in cities and other urban settings. Job opportunities include operations managers, health service administrators, and management analysts, among others.

This program is designed to offer a well-rounded education, focusing on management and business principles as well as topics essential to continuing education. The start of this program includes courses in writing, both technical and for the humanities. After college algebra, students study American history and courses in biology, the fine arts, and/or the social and behavioral sciences.

In the business core, the focus is on more directly relevant material. There is instruction in accounting principles, business lay, and aspects of communication. As the business world and technology are becoming more interconnected, students will work towards gaining proficiency in related software and computer applications. Degree candidates will learn to effectively present in a business setting, a skill vital to any organization's competitiveness.

Completion of this program is reliant on the fulfillment of 60 hours of coursework. This total comes from a general education section of 36 credits and a core discipline area of 15 credits. The remaining eight come from approved electives at or above the 1000 level.
