University of Wisconsin-Stout recognizes the need for life-long learning and baccalaureate opportunities for technical college graduates. The BS in Management program is a degree-completion program for those with a two-year associate’s degree and professional working experience. The program includes a sequence of management courses with five targeted concentrations providing students flexibility in choosing a track that suits their personal and professional goals. These concentrations include Business Management, Human Resource Management, Industrial Management, Quality Management, and Service Management. Designed for working professionals, this distance education program offers many benefits, some of which include flexible online courses; excellent transferability of college credits toward the degree; preparation for managerial and leadership opportunities while increasing salary potential; and the ability to attain a four-year degree from UW-Stout while networking with other technical professionals.

    School Overview

    The University of Wisconsin-Stout was founded by Mr. James Huff Stout as a set of vocational training schools in Menomonie, beginning in 1891. The schools formed an independent institute in 1908 and then came under the jurisdiction of the Board of Regents of State Colleges in 1955. In 1971, Stout was designated by the Board of Regents as one of only two special mission universities in the UW System. Stout was to offer focused programs "related to professional careers in industry, technology, home economics, applied art and the helping professions." In March 2007, UW-Stout was designated "Wisconsin's Polytechnic University" by the UW System Board of Regents.

    UW-Stout offers bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees and certificates from the following schools and colleges:
