Program Details

The online Certificate in Geographic Information Science (GIS) program includes many areas of geospatial science and technology, including Cartography, Remote Sensing, and Geographic Information Systems.  The curriculum provides knowledge about geospatial theory and literature and how they drive data collection, storage, analysis, and mapping.  Students also gain proficiency in technologies related to GIS, such as remote sensing software applications, GPS and GIS data collection, data analysis, web mapping, and digital image processing.

  • Minimum combined GPA of 2.25 for college credits
