Program Details

The online ME in Sustainable Systems Engineering degree program is designed for individuals who are passionate about energy, engineering, and the environment. Students gain an understanding of the policy, science, engineering, and economics of tomorrow's clean energy systems and sources through courses covering topics such as:

  • Sustainability
  • Industrial Ecology
  • Renewable Energy Systems 
  • Sustainable Microgrids


  • A bachelor’s degree from a program accredited by the ABET or the equivalent
  • A minimum undergraduate grade-point average (GPA) of 3.00 on the equivalent of the last 60 semester hours (approximately two years of work) or a master’s degree with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00
