Master of Science in Electrical Engineering / Power Engineering

Program Details

The online MS in Electrical Engineering with a focus in Power Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison prepares students for leading edge positions in industry in the areas of electric power, power electronics, motor drives, and electric machines. Courses cover topics such as:

This degree program requires 30 credits and a three-week on-campus lab course in the summer. 

  • Minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.0 on the equivalent of the last 60 semester hours, or a master’s degree with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited U.S. institution, or a comparable degree from an international institution
