The Master of Science in Human Nutrition & Functional Medicine from the University of Western States is a unique online nutrition degree.  This is the only school where students can earn an accredited Master of Science degree in Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine degree and features a clinically oriented program designed to meet the requirements for several national certification exams in the clinical nutrition field.  The UWS curriculum incorporates strong research evidence and strives to stay current as there are shifts in our understanding of health, disease, and nutritional therapeutics.  Courses are based on a holistic view of health and teach students to treat the whole person rather than just the symptoms as they study the biochemical and genetic individuality of each patient.  Graduates are prepared to use a science-based, patient-centered approach to achieving and maintaining great health through natural methods, including diet and nutrition.
