University of Washington offers the online Certificate in Gerontology. Students will examine the specific challenges and opportunities involved in supporting older adults in fields such as health and wellness, finance, housing and recreation. Students will study the relevant psychological, biological and social factors of this demographic group. The program also addresses the political issues relating to advocacy, public policy and long-term care can affect the lives of older adults.
