Master of Engineering in Materials Science & Engineering

Program Details

The online ME in Materials Science & Engineering degree program is designed to provide graduate level instruction in Materials Science and Engineering to industrial personnel in any location. Courses are taught live on campus in the afternoon or early evening and transmitted to online learners in real time. Two-way video and audio communication capabilities allow online learners to have direct interaction with the classroom. Courses cover topics in:

  • Electronic & Crystal Structure of Materials 
  • Defects & Microstructure in Materials
  • Thermodynamics & Phase Equilibria of Materials
  • Kinetics of Transport & Transformations in Materials

Requirements

  • Earned baccalaureate degree in engineering or related fields from an accredited institution of higher learning
  • Minimum grade point average of 3.0 or better in the last 60 hours of undergraduate study
  • Three Letters of Recommendation (at least one from a professional contact)
  • Official Transcript(s) of all previous studies
  • GRE scores
