Program Details

The University of the Potomac offers the Master of Science in Computer Science with a concentration in Geospatial Intelligence, an online GIS degree for those interested in pursuing advanced careers in this growing field.  This degree combines geography with technology, so students gain the knowledge and skills needed to collect, measure, and interpret geographic information in order to create and update maps and charts for regional planning, education, and other purposes.  You will learn to collect and analyze spatial data, such as elevation and distance, and to develop base maps that allow Geographic Information System (GIS) data to be layered on top.  Courses in this concentration include:

  • GSI Applications in IT, Business, Management, Health & Government operation
