Program Details

The Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering degree program provides students with a broad background, linking physiology with engineering science, necessary for entering interdisciplinary careers in medical technology or pursuing further graduate studies in a related field. A variety of career opportunities exist, but primarily in the areas of: Cellular, Tissue, Genetic, Clinical and Rehabilitation Engineering, Bioinstrumentation, Biomaterials, Biomechanics, Drug Design and Delivery, Medical Imaging, Orthopedic Surgery, Pharmaceuticals, and Systems Physiology.

Requirements

  • An undergraduate degree in engineering, math or hard science from a regionally-accredited university
  • Satisfactory cumulative undergraduate GPA (grade point average)
  • Satisfactory GRE test scores
  • Satisfactory performance in previous coursework related to the intended major
