Program Details

University of South Florida – Main Campus offers an online Graduate Certificate program in Disabilities Education: Severe/Profound. This program is for educators of those with disabilities who need special instruction to reach their full potential. The coursework helps educators teach general education curriculum in ways that can provide a foundation for further understanding of more specific topics.

Requirements

  • Must hold an earned bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution
  • A minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Have approximately 30 credit hours of coursework in education or a related field (speech-language pathology, physical therapy, occupational therapy that deals with students with severe/profound disabilities)
  • Preference will be given to professional practitioners who have minimum one-year experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder
