Educational Specialist in Educational Administration & Leadership / School District Superintendent

Program Details

The online Education Specialist (EdS) in Educational Administration and Leadership is a post-master’s degree for teachers or administrators who wish to specialize and become school superintendents.  This University of South Dakota program with a specialization in School District Superintendent draws upon theory, research and experience to create skilled leaders in education.  As an online specialization, this EdS offers flexibility for full-time working professionals, maintains small classes and has advisors and faculty who are readily available for consultation. 

Upon completion of the EdS in Educational Administration and Leadership with a School District Superintendent specialization, you may be qualified to sit for state licensure, depending upon your state’s specific guidelines.

Requirements

This program requires an internship/field experience.

  • Master's degree
  • One official transcript verifying receipt of an undergraduate degree and official transcripts of all academic work at the undergraduate and graduate levels are required for all students

  • Must have 3 years of teaching experience in PK-12
