Program Details

The online ME in Electrical Engineering degree program from the University of South Carolina-Columbia is a non-thesis option designed for working engineers who wish to build their depth of knowledge within selected electrical engineering sub-specialties. Through this program, students are able to:

  • Become a specialist in a subdiscipline 
  • Execute research or development in a specific area of interest
  • Solve sophisticated engineering problems that require integration of knowledge and skills gained in multiple graduate courses


  • A baccalaureate degree (or the international equivalent) in electrical engineering with at least a B average from an accredited college or university
  • Official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended for course credit
  • Two or more letters of recommendation
  • GRE scores
