Program Details

The Associate of Applied Business in Health Information Technology from UNOH takes an interdisciplinary approach. This online health informatics program incorporates topics from medicine, finance, management, law, and information technology.

Such a diverse curriculum prepares graduates for a multitude of career paths. Topics covered include:

  • Medical terminology
  • Medical coding
  • Electronic healthcare records
  • Pharmacology

Besides coursework, students participate in two internships. This work experience provides the opportunity to make connections with office managers, physicians, and fellow technicians. Furthermore, the program provides eligibility to sit for the RHIT (Registered Health Information Technician) certification.
