Program Details

University of Northern Colorado offers an online Doctor of Philosophy in Special Education. A doctoral program is for experienced educators who are seeking leadership and further growth opportunities within the field. This curriculum combines theory, research, practice, and policy on different special education teaching methods and how to best serve individuals with disabilities.

Requirements

  • A master’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university or a comparable degree from a foreign institution
  • A grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale on the most recent 60 credit hours completed

  • Official GRE scores, less that 5 years old (minimum 140 quantitative, 146 verbal reasoning, combined score of at least 297, analytical writing 3.5)
