Program Details

University of Northern Colorado offers an online Master of Arts in Teaching with a specialization in Mathematics. Designed by experts in the field, this program helps the aspiring math teacher take the next step toward his or her dream. The curriculum prepares individuals for secondary and higher education math practice. There is a focus on improving math education across different types of schools and organizations as well.

Requirements

Students are required to visit the UNC campus for four days in July.

  • Official copies of transcripts
  • One professional letter of recommendation
  • Statement/Essay of approximately 500 words addressing professional goals, interest in pursuing a Mathematics Master of Arts with an emphasis in Teaching, and a summary of the applicant's current teaching position in which they would be able to apply the practical coursework elements
  • Proof of teaching licensure/certification, if applicable
