The Master of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of North Texas is an online counseling degree.  This degree is designed to teach students how to help those with disabilities find jobs, feel empowered to live productive lives, and undergo challenging transitions with support.  The curriculum provides communication and goal-setting skills for the counseling process, utilizing self-advocacy, psychological, vocational, social, and behavioral interventions.  Courses use a combination of academic theory and technique while covering such topics as preparatory studies in disability, educational and occupational information, counseling and case management, and vocational rehabilitation.  Graduates will be prepared to help others from diverse backgrounds through a genuine commitment to human rights, professionalism, personal integrity, and ethical practice.
