Program Details

The online Doctor of Philosophy in Aerospace Science program provides interdisciplinary teaching and research at the doctoral level to provide highly educated scholars and leaders with the skills to combine technology and science with an understanding of the politics and economics of the aerospace fields. Students will gain broad backgrounds that link science, engineering, policy, business, and law while also developing critical skills needed to fill leadership roles in the field.

Topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Planetary science
  • Orbital mechanics
  • Remote sensing

Classes are taught by dedicated and committed faculty. Students gain capabilities to carry out independent high-level aerospace research. Graduates possess analytical, technical, research, and communication skills as they develop a thorough knowledge of the aerospace disciplines and prepare for careers in government and research agencies, educational institutions and private aerospace and aviation sector companies.
