Program Details

The online Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering program helps students learn to apply skills from multiple disciplines to advance emerging technologies including robotics and machine vision, gas turbine engines, engineered materials, biomechanics, and unmanned aerial vehicles.  The curriculum focuses on manufacturing, materials science, mechanical design, thermal sciences, and aerospace applications, preparing students to make an immediate impact in the field.  You will complete a research project and thesis which can incorporate an interdisciplinary perspective, such as bioengineering or environmental engineering, or focus on design, manufacturing processes, vibrations, stress analysis, materials, thermodynamics, and more.

  • B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited program and have an acceptable GPA
  • 2.50 overall undergraduate GPA or a GPA of at least 2.75 for the junior and senior years of their undergraduate programs.
  • GRE General, only if prerequisite degree is not accredited by ABET
