Program Details

The online Master of Engineering in Civil Engineering program prepares qualified engineers that can address and solve the challenges of eroding infrastructures, exploding population growth, and the impact of global environmental changes, among other issues. The curriculum builds on undergraduate knowledge to achieve a greater understanding of civil engineering and the design process so students can practice engineering in a wide range of professional settings. This online program can be completed in 5 – 6 years.

Classes include, but are not limited to:

  • Structural dynamics
  • Pavement engineering
  • Sustainable pavements

The Master of Science program includes a thesis, research project or independent study that often leads to a Ph.D., while the Master of Engineering program is course-based and includes writing a design project report as students work toward careers where they practice engineering. All options culminate with a Design Project course. Graduates will be prepared to succeed in new, exciting careers in civil engineering.
