Program Details

The online Graduate Certificate in Geographic Information Sciences (GIS) is concerned with the acquisition, storage, manipulation, and analysis of spatial data and processes.  Students will develop the skills and tools needed to explore and analyze this data in a broad range of areas from business markets and transportation networks to physical and chemical processes in the environment.  You develop a solid theoretical foundation and the technical skills needed to become working professionals within this field, including being able to digitally model landscapes and to enable the mathematical characterization of spatial and temporal processes.  Graduates are prepared to work in:
