Program Details

The online MS in Emergency Preparedness degree program from the University of Nebraska Medical Center is designed to provide students with emergency response and preparedness skills needed in the face of naturally occurring disasters, intentional acts of terrorism, and new emerging infectious disease threats. Students may choose either a practice-based track, or an academic-based track, both of which cover topics in:

  • Prevention, Protection, Response & Recovery
  • Foundations of Public Health
  • Epidemiology
  • Terrorism


  • Minimum of a baccalaureate degree or equivalent from a recognized college or university
  • Official transcripts from all previously attended colleges and universities
  • Minimum GPA of 3.00 in previous coursework
