Program Details

The online Master of Science in Criminology & Criminal Justice program is designed for working professionals seeking careers, or advancement in current careers, in criminal justice.  Students will take courses a few required courses, but the majority of the curriculum is composed of electives that allow students to shape the program so that it meets their future career goals.  In addition, you may choose from two areas of specialization:

  • Public Administration
  • Counseling

Requirements

  • Two Letters of Recommendation
  • Statement of Purpose
  • One page discussing reasons for pursuing a graduate degree, interests in the field, and career goals for 
  • Possession of a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution
  • Student has at least a 3.00 GPA overall in the last two years of undergraduate work
  • At least 12 credit hours of criminal just courses or related courses that meet the requirements of the current School undergraduate curriculum, including a basic statistics course, a research methods course, an introductory criminal justice course, and a criminology course
