The space in which we live can have a profound effect on our mental health and wellness. This effect is amplified even further in older adults living in long-term care facilities. With a Graduate Certificate in Gerontology concentrating on Interior Design, students will learn about the relationship between an environment and its aging occupants. Students are able to choose the courses that best meet their professional needs with the assistance of a gerontology academic advisor. All students will complete a practicum in an approved elder-care setting.
