Program Details
The University of Montana Master of Music program offers a Music Education concentration to the nontraditional student. This highly focused program offers flexibility in electives, history, and literature courses, and additional studies in music to accompany core requirements. Core online music education degree studies will address topics including but not limited to:
- Philosophy
- Analytics
- Psychology
Courses for your online music education degree are available in fully online or blended formats, offering the option to inquire about traditional courses becoming virtual to meet your needs. While you will be required to complete and give a Final Defense, you may choose to complete a thesis or project, or complete a non-thesis/project option with additional credits required. Work closely with a major advisor to best define your academic pathway, accumulating professional development applicable to collegiate education, consulting, administration, and more.
