Program Details
Mizzou’s College of Human Environmental Sciences – School of Social Work offers two tracks for students to earn an online MSW. Both tracks follow curriculum guidelines of the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). This particular path does not require an undergraduate degree in social work. Therefore, it progressively builds a solid knowledge base of practices, ethics and communication within the social work and then transitions to more advanced theory and applications. You’ll be well-prepared to enter positions within social services to help individuals, families and groups face challenges in their lives. While coursework is 100% online, you’ll complete a practicum, locally. This degree is offered to students in Missouri and nine contiguous states, so be sure to check with your state’s requirements prior to enrolling. Sample classes from this online MSW include:
- Foundations of Human Behavior
- Large Group Therapy
- Strategies of Clinical Social Work Intervention
