The Bachelor of Liberal Arts (LAR) degree program offers students the opportunity to learn a variety of skills in multiple subject areas while focusing in a particular interest area. LAR degree completion students select two concentrations from seven discipline areas. A strength of this program is its attention to preparing graduates to develop strong communication abilities and apply their knowledge to real world situations. The program is taught in small classroom sizes with faculty who truly care about their students’ grasp of learning and progress toward completing the degree.

This is a bachelor completion program. A total of 120 credits are required, including transfer credits. Must have at least 24 transferable credit hours.

The College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) is the largest college at UMass Dartmouth, offering 21 majors and enrolling nearly half of all undergraduate students. Our five graduate programs are highly competitive because of the individually tailored academic experiences. The School of Education is housed within the college and offers graduate degrees and teacher licensure programs. In addition, CAS offers online undergraduate and graduate degrees.
